About the Position

The Human Resources division provides a comprehensive range of services to managers and employees in SASA, all of which aim to resource the organisation with highly competent and effective people who are committed to serving the best interests of the South African sugar industry.

We have a temporary position within our team of HR Professionals in a highly interactive environment Reporting directly to the Human Resources Executive, you would be tasked with providing a comprehensive human resources administration service. The key HR tasks are as follows:

  • facilitate HR Administration in the form of loan applications, managing fund claims, maintaining detailed employee records;

  • Sage 300 People Payroll administration;

  • co-ordinate the recruitment and selection process from the preparation of adverts through to the placement of new incumbents;

  • the maintenance of internal administration systems;

  • Liaison with medical aid, the fund and other support services;

  • monthly statistical reporting;

In order to meet the requirements of the position the incumbent should have:

  • a relevant qualification e.g. B Com/BA/B Soc Sci Hons or B Laws and preferably registration as a Human Resources Practitioner with the SA Board for People Practices

  • 2 years' experience in HR Generalist role.

  • fluency in English and isiZulu;

  • a sound knowledge of the specific HRIS (Sage 300 People);

  • excellent organisational ability and attention to detail ;

  • strong MS Office skills including Excel and MS Word;

  • an ability to communicate with people at all levels in the organisation;

  • a team based approach to work;

  • good numerical skills with a great attention to detail;

  • excellent organisational and self-management skills.
